Some card receivers got spices...

The cards took me pretty much all day yesterday. I was doing them all personally on the studio program. I have decided to give out some cooking spices for Christmas, ground bay leaves and ground rosemary. One is so you don't have to pull the leaf out after cooking and the other is because rosemary is so woody when you use it, I avoid using it. Not with the ground rosemary.

I found the canisters on amazon. They are stainless steel and have magnetic bottoms. They twist to sift or pour contents. I made the labels up on my greetings card program. I think they are pretty cool. Sometimes I think I am a pretty fart smeller...

Here is the box of out going mail. I am glad I am not the post office this week. I don't know how those people can do it..

Time to regroup for the day. Dave the house mechanic is coming over today to take the place of Phil "the bull" who is out for a couple of months due to a hernia operation. Dave says he will do handyman work for handyman pay... We will see....

Dave did not make it over today, his car broke down. He will come over for a full day's work in the morning. So I went to the post office and got in a pretty long line at my favorite branch, Lansingburg. Donna works there by herself during the week and does a pretty good job of it. I have gotten to talk to her a little with mailing the videos and all. I have been giving her the empty Angel and Blessing card boxes. I don't know what she does with them, but so far she is taking them all.

I headed up to the Latham Walmart to see if I can get some of the bags I need for the spices. I cleaned out the Halfmoon Walmart of all theirs and I needed 5 more. I decided to get the truck washed again. Since I have the unlimited number of washes I bought for 90 days, I have been getting washes as needed. I give a dollar tip, so that is my only expense other than the gas it takes to get to one of the Hoffman's car washes. The Latham one does a little towel dry at the end which I like. When I give my dollar tip, they are always appreciative. If everyone did that, they would do alright. There are a lot of people running that car wash in Latham. So I went through the car wash. I rolled down the window to greet the girl who marks the windshield at the start of the wash. I told her I didn't yesterday and I wanted to today just to say hi in person rather than through the glass. They are out in the cold doing this stuff, a nice hello goes a long way sometimes. They all split that tip container at the end of the day.

From Hoffman's I went to Hannaford's in Latham Farm's to do a small grocery list. I like getting a little walking exercise in early in the day before everything hurts a lot. Not many people my age in the stores during the week. I try to make jokes and do some greetings but most people are out there someplace. It is kind of sad. How about the ones that don't make it out of their house? These are the ones that have a car and drive...

From Latham I decided to go to the Bruswick Walmart because the Latham one only had 2 of the bags I wanted left. So I cruised the valley and was there in no time. I almost was going to get another truck wash at the Hoffman's on Hoosick St but I did not want to waste the water or dollar. It could have used it. I may go out for ride tonight to fill up the tank. It is heading for under half and I like it over. The A+ in Cohoes is my fill up go to place. I use 91 octane Sunoco and they have it the best price I have found around, 30 cents better than the A+ in Latham. I don't know though, I have not done my hot tub routine yet and it is nearly 8pm. I can't think of anything else to do while I am out other than listen to music and ride. Maybe I will think of something between now and then.

The thermometer says it is in the high 20's in the yard. That trip to open up the tub is a little rough but once you are in, you are good. Getting out you are warmed up good for the close up and walk in. I guess i will do that now...
